PSESD Student Board Representative Application and Process

The Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) Board of Directors is currently seeking Student Representatives to serve on the Board.  Our goal is to select two (2) students who will be entering their junior year in the 2025-26 school year (one in Pierce County and one in King County) to serve. Students should be attending a public school, public charter school or tribal compact school within King or Pierce County. Each term of service will be (2) years. The time requirement will be roughly 30 hours a year, plus potential trainings and conferences. Student Representatives will receive a $500/year honorarium.

As the PSESD creates and delivers a vast array of high-quality services for students, families, educators, districts, and communities across King County, Pierce County and Bainbridge Island, our educational organization works to eliminate the opportunity gap by leading with racial equity. Operating as one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts and state-approved private schools in Washington, we strive to become an Antiracist Multicultural Organization. Therefore, we believe it is important to include the student voice/perspective to our Board meetings, and we are looking for students who would like to be part of this process to inform and/or impact our decision-making.
