PSWCT/UP Releases 2023–2024 Annual Report
PSWCT Annual Report

The Puget Sound Workers’ Compensation Trust and Unemployment Pool (PSWCT/UP) has released its 2023–2024 Annual Report online.

The inaugural PSWCT/UP Annual Report is a comprehensive statement that provides a useful recap of the stories and highlights of the past school year. It provides valuable information about the PSWCT/UP vision, model, services, and operational performance, as well as about the progress made in fulfilling its overall mission.

The report opens with a Letter from Executive Director Clairmonte Cappelle, who provides a welcome to the report, and who notes that the report is being issued at “a very special time in our history as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Trust.”

The report also includes such essential elements as an overview of the Puget Sound Workers’ Compensation Trust (PSWCT), a graphical presentation of its Service Model, useful charts and statistics, a look at such topics as Supporting School District Staffing Stability, Mitigating Disability Duration When Injury Occurs, Minimizing School Districts’ Financial Burden, an overview of Claims, Financials, Member Services, and Risk, and a directory of the PSWCT/UP Leadership Team and Executive Advisory Board. The report winds up with a look to the future of the organization.

The 2023–2024 PSWCT/UP Annual Report provides an immediate opportunity for community members to gain an overview of its objectives, challenges, and accomplishments in the 2023–2024 year, and of how it is going to continue its vision going forward.

The interactive, web-based report can be viewed in full at 2023–24 PSWCT Annual Report — WCT (pswctup.org).

Celebrating our Education Support Professionals at PSESD

In education, the thousands who serve among the support professionals are an integral part of the industry and its importance.

That’s why it’s so important to celebrate their contributions each year for Education Support Professionals week, which takes place this year from March 10–14, 2025. The week was first noted for celebration in 1975 by PSE in order to salute the irreplaceable contributions of Education Support Professionals (or ESPs, for short) in the public school system.
