Manager, Transportation (Internal Applicants Only)

PSESD is seeking a Transportation Manager to plan, organize and oversee day-to-day operations for the PSESD transportation programs. The Transportation Manager will also maintain driver certification and training records, interpret Federal and State guidelines to ensure student transportation safety, and forecast equipment and personnel needs to ensure outcomes are achieved and services are efficiently provided within budgetary guidelines.

The job of Manager, Transportation is done for the purpose/s of planning organizing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the PSESD transportation program(s); implementing and maintaining assigned programs and services in conformance to agency, state, and federal guidelines; ensuring program objectives and services are achieved and comply with PSESD goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Valid Washington State driver license and evidence of insurability
  • Job-related operations experience, including supervision, planning and/or scheduling
  • CDL Class B with S Endorsement 
  • OSPI Type 1 Driver Authorization (must obtain within 2 years)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with low-income families and/or families from diverse backgrounds, and with children ages 3 to 5
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to recommend and implement program improvements
  • Experience in public/private transportation services

Hiring Salary Range: $80,889 - $106,134 (Salary Band K)
Full Salary Range: $80,889 - $117,152 (Salary Band K)
