We are seeking a Mentor Teacher to provide instructional leadership and reflective/ administrative support to early learning teaching staff for the Educare program. The position is based in White Center and provides services to children and families in the multi-cultural communities of White Center and Burien.

Puget Sound ESD’s service area includes 35 school districts and more than 200 private schools in King and Pierce counties plus Bainbridge Island in Kitsap County. We serve approximately 38 percent of the state’s K-12 public school students. In addition, several of our programs serve students throughout the state.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Master’s Degree in early childhood education or field related to child development (BA degree in related field with progressively responsible job related experience may substitute for MA)

·         Experience providing mentoring and supervisory support to early childhood teaching staff

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience working with children ages birth to five, Head Start, ECEAP, or other comprehensive preschool experience;

·         Experience planning & delivering adult child development training & mentoring/supervising early learning staff a plus.

·         Experience with diverse/low income populations.

Based in White Center.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is (Salary Band H) $62,312-$72,263.
