We invite a highly qualified Early Head Start Assistant Teacher to join our team of educators and work in a strong collaborative partnership with the Lead Teacher and Teacher.  Job duties include providing quality, comprehensive child development to Early Head Start children and their families. ·         Child Development Associate (CDA) or Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate required. ** Unofficial transcripts are required as part of the complete application** 

·         Early childhood experience in a child care center, child development center, or preschool program.


Preferred Qualifications (Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)

·         Head Start, Early Head Start, or other comprehensive child development/family support program experience;

·         Experience with diverse and/or low income populations;

·         Experience working with infants/toddlers;

·         Current or previous Head Start and/or ECEAP parent.


This is a full-time, year ‘round position, based in White Center.  Salary (PSA1): Minimum $16.29/hour.  Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity.
