Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) seeks a Family Support Specialist to manage and implement the centralized ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, Attendance) system that supports 15 Home Visitors serving 165 families at 6 sites in our Early Head Start Home-Based program in Pierce County.
Early Head Start Home-Based provides high quality, comprehensive support services in the home environment to pregnant women, infants, toddlers and their families; including support to assist parents in meeting the needs of their children and enhancing parents’ role as the primary influence in their child’s education and development.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state. AA or higher degree in human services, social services, family services, counseling (or related degree with 30 or more job-related credits)
Preferred Qualifications (Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
Experience with data management systems;
Experience working with pregnant women and/or families with children birth to 3 years;
Experience working with low-income families, refugee and/or immigrant families, and/or families with limited English-speaking abilities;
Experience in Head Start/Early Head Start/ECEAP or other comprehensive child development/family support program;
Community outreach and/or collaboration experience;
Bilingual ability and/or experience working with interpreters
This is a full time year round position (38 hours/week Year round), based in Pierce County. Salary(Band B): $46,498-$53,923/Year. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity.
