Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a Director of Accounting and School Finance to prepare annual financial statements for the Agency; provide school districts with Accounting and Reporting technical support; monitor the member district's financial health indicators; ensure revenues and expenses are within budget limits and overall fiscal policies, practices, and regulations and meet compliance requirements; serve as a resource to school districts to analyze and monitor legislative changes, and provide revenue and expenditure forecasts; lead and coordinate fiscal and technical support to charter schools, provide financial information, guidance, and recommendations to the department administration, Superintendent, Board, school districts and/or other regulatory agencies.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools, and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state. · Bachelor’s Degree in accounting-related field.
· Enterprise-wide financial reporting and accounting experience.
· Senior level supervisory/management experience
· Governmental/State/or School district accounting experience
(Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
· GASB Accounting experience and/or knowledge of WA State regulations;
· CPA certification and/or MBA;
· Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and/or databases.
· Charter school finance/accounting experience

This is a full-time, year ’round position, based in Renton. The anticipated salary range for this position is $101,498-$133,174/year (Band R).
