Puget Sound Education Service District is seeking a Client Relations Director to provide leadership, strategic direction & oversight for optimizing relationships with school district customers and community relative to workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation risk. The position builds and supports effective, strategic and compliant business relationships with stakeholders by ensuring school district customers and community have the information, tools and incentives needed to successfully prevent and/or minimize workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation risk. This role is responsible for leading a loss prevention and mitigation function and collaborating internally with claims and financial functions to consult with and educate school district stakeholders for the purpose of informing strategies to support risk reduction activities.
Workers’ Compensation Trust & Unemployment Insurance Pool (PSWCT/UP, a department of PSESD) is a group self-insured program for workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation coverage for 35 school districts and PSESD and their 45,000 employees in King, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties. The PSESD serves 35 school districts and more than 200 private schools in King and Pierce counties plus Bainbridge Island in Kitsap County. Approximately 38 percent of the state’s K-12 public school students are impacted by our work and several of our programs serve students throughout the state. - Associate' Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Risk Management or related field and progressively responsible work-related experience
- Successful experience selling, marketing, promoting, and/or advancing risk management and/or loss control services within a customer base.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License and Evidence of Insurability

- Experience within a workers’ compensation environment administering loss control and risk management programs preferred.
- Supervisory experience and Certified Safety Profession (CPS) or similar and/or Associate of Risk Management (ARM) or similar desired.

Salary: $79,526-$92,226 (Band M)
