Puget Sound Educational School District seeks an App Specialist 1 to support Data Services in the Early Learning program. This position will provide leadership in the development and maintenance of Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) and Head Start/Early Head Start data collection and reporting processes.
The Application Specialist 1 plays a key role in supporting and maintaining data systems that capture child, family, and program-level information. This position ensures accurate, high-quality data collection and reporting processes across multiple platforms.
In this role, you will provide leadership in managing the Early Learning enrollment process, coordinating data flow across a large, multi-provider, multi-site network. This position will support data analysis and reporting efforts by pulling and organizing data to inform program decisions and share outcomes effectively.
This role will also collaborate with program managers to help them think strategically about how to use data systems in a more holistic and integrated way—supporting planning, continuous improvement, and decision-making.
Additionally, the Application Specialist 1 serves as tier two support for data-related systems, offering troubleshooting assistance and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Early Learning Program Hiring Requirements
- Portable Background Check: All Early Learning Program hires must have a cleared PSESD fingerprint background check (Washington State Patrol and FBI clearance) and a cleared Portable Background Check (PBC) before their hire date, and every three (3) years thereafter as a condition of continued employment. Minimum Qualifications

Experience working with relational databases (i.e., maintaining data integrity, finding and correcting data errors and omissions), custom queries, and reporting.

Experience assessing basic problems with spreadsheets and databases.

AA/Vocational degree in related field (HS diploma or GED and progressively responsible job-related experience may substitute for AA/Vocational degree).
