Manager, Student Support Services – Behavioral Health

Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a dynamic, highly skilled Manager, Student Support Services – Behavioral Health to provide supervision and program management for Mental Health Student Assistance Professionals within the King and Pierce County region. These 7 staff members provide direct services to students (ages 10-21) at risk of mental health concerns and their families.  The Mental Health Manager will coordinate alignment of services with evidence-based mental health practices, monitor and report on program activities, align services with PSESD, district and statewide initiatives and provide hands-on coaching and professional development to staff. This is a 2-year position with potential to extend, dependent on funding.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to using a racial equity lens
  • Master’s degree job-related field: 
    • Educational Staff Associate Certificates – ESA, 
    • Master of Social Work – MSW, 
    • Master of Public Health – MPH, or 
    • Other Mental Health Licensure
  • Professional experience working with youth ages 10-21 in a counseling or case management role 
  • Professional experience coaching, supervising, or training adults in evidence-based practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with evidence-based mental health practices and child/family wellness and recovery
  • Professional work experience working within a school environment
  • Experience using data to drive program decisions
  • Report and/or grant writing experience
  • Experience with child/adolescent group counseling
  • Experience providing professional development to adults
  • Experience working with diverse populations

Job Type: Full time, Year ‘round, 2-year position (with potential to extend, dependent on funding)
Salary: $65,802 – $76,310 (Salary Band H)
