Title IX: Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, often referred to as Title IX, is a Federal civil rights law.

Title IX, which began with a focus on discrimination and ensuring equity in sports, includes a major focus on prevention of and response to incidents of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

If you have experienced any form of violence, harassment, or discrimination, the most important things are being safe and taking care of yourself. Puget Sound ESD takes allegations of sexual violence, harassment, or discrimination seriously and will take immediate action to address and resolve.

Puget Sound ESD has designated staff responsible for responding to, investigating, and resolving complaints. You can use PSESD Sexual Harassment Complaint Form to report the matter. You can also make a report directly with school administrators (Principal or Dean of Students) or PSESD Title IX Coordinator.
