The Loss Control Consultants have resources, reference materials, videos, safety programs and training materials available to provide on-site training for your employees in any of the areas indicated below and are eager to work with you to develop safety programs tailored to your needs.
Provide loss control services in the field of safety and health to district members to assist them in accident prevention and WISHA standards compliance.
Standards Compliance Assessments
Conduct annual assessments on the status of all required safety programs within the district. Written reports on the findings and recommendations are provided.
Employee Safety Training
Provide employee safety training on a variety of topics. The sessions are tailored to fit the needs and time constraints of the districts.
Assist districts in the development and implementation of federal and state mandated safety programs. Monitor OSHA and WISHA for changes in the required programs and work with districts on maintaining up-to-date programs.
Use statistical analysis from claims data to identify the causes that produce the greatest number of injuries. Special emphasis in accident prevention is provided to reduce the losses caused by the greatest risk factors identified.
Worksite Safety Surveys
Conduct courtesy safety surveys of work areas to identify hazardous conditions or violations of safety standards. Loss Control will provide the collected data to the districts and consult with them on corrective actions.
Assist districts with on-the-job accident investigation to help them uncover the cause(s) and recommend corrective actions.
Help districts establish and maintain safety committees, as required by WISHA, that continually promote and provide safe and healthful working conditions and practices.
Assist districts in the establishment and maintenance of a return-to-work program for injured employees. Loss Control Consultants can conduct on-site analysis of job tasks to identify the physical demands and essential functions.
Assist districts in the detection, correction and prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among their employees. Loss Control can provide worksite analysis, consultations and training to member districts.
Modified Duty/Return to Work
Work with districts and unions in the development and implementation of light/modified work for the purpose of bringing back injured employees while they are recovering from their injuries.
Industrial Hygiene Services
Provide technical support, expertise and training in occupational health and safety-related fields, including:
- Indoor air quality assessment including some monitoring and sampling;
- Assessment of hazardous chemicals and their management in laboratories, operations and custodial
- Assistance in assessing the quality of drinking water;
- HazCom and science laboratory hygiene training.
