Welcome to The Writing Corner and Writing Across the Curriculum homepage! The focus of these two projects is to use small, inexpensive word processors (sometimes called "smart keyboards") to increase student achievement in writing. The Writing Corner is a consortium of 14 school districts, and Writing Across the Curriculum is a consortium of 29 districts. These two related grant projects are being supported by a combination of resources from the participating school districts and Puget Sound ESD, two Washington State Educational Technology Competitive grants, and generous support from Intelligent Peripheral Devices, NTS Computers, and Apple Computer.
