Recommended Database for JuniorQuest Magazines: ProQuest's research solution for Junior High or Middle School. This database contains nearly 571 magazines and journals selected by school library media specialists as appropriate in supporting curriculum. With 95% full-text coverage, students can search and retrieve articles simply. The article images included with most publications give students greater understanding of subject matter. Plus, full text coverage from national newspapers introduces students to Critical Thinking Skills by presenting diverging thoughts and opinions on issues and events. In addition to covering core general reference subject area, JuniorQuest provides concentrated coverage of ethnic studies, science and educational topics. This database is ProQuest's default for Middle and Junior High Schools. |

Recommended Database for Platinum Periodical Magazines: This database provides full text coverage from over 1352 magazines and professional educational/library media journals. Using images from 1150 of these magazines and journals allows students to access pictures graphs and charts directly relevant to research. This database provides 95% full text coverage. This database is highly recommended for High Schools because of its depth of coverage and high percentage of full text. With this collection, students have one easy-to-search interface with access to the highest quality magazines and journals as well as regional, national and international newspapers. This gives students a broad perspective and allows them a deeper understanding of information and events from around the world. Platinum is ProQuest's default database for High Schools. |
Faculty and Staff ProQuest Discovery: Gives the choice of subjects that will satisfy the information needs of all kinds of users. This database contains over 2395 periodicals-more than 1300+ in ASCII full text and/or full-page image formats in a wide range of subject areas. The database contains the core list with 384 periodical and 18 subject modules that supplement the core list by providing additional titles in the areas of Arts, Business, Children, Education, General Interest, Health, Humanities, International, Law, Military, Multicultural, Psychology, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Women's Interests. The core and subject modules are combined so users can seamlessly search all selected modules simultaneously. All schools will receive this database for their faculty and Staff. |
