PSESD Federal Policy Positions

4 Oct
Puget Sound ESD Board members visited Washington, DC last month to share the agency’s 2017-18 federal policy positions.  The Board is focused on four areas of advocacy this year:
  • Support for Immigrant and Refugee Students and Families;
  • Equity in Education;
  • Fiscal Year 18 Budget (with a focus on 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Arts Education, Medicaid and Head Start); and,
  • Early Learning.
PSESD Leadership spent an entire day on the Hill, visiting every single Congressional office in the PSESD region to share the thoughts and concerns of Puget Sound school districts.  We appreciate our Senators and Congresspersons taking the time to listen to our priorities!
