Paraeducator Program

 

The Paraeducator program provides professional development for paraeducators and the teachers with whom they work to create effective educational teams and increase student learning. The objective of the Paraeducator program is to provide training in a variety of areas, using best practices in Professional Development, that is accessible and responsive to district, school and paraeducator needs.

Handbooks and Portfolios

The paraeducator handbook and portfolio are free to PSESD districts/classroom paraeducators. To order the 27 page handbook and/or portfolio, please contact Marci Meehan, mmeehan@psesd.org or 425-917-7844 or download the order form.

  Paraeducator Competency Training

The Paraeducator Program offers the regional introductory level training for all 14 competencies on a limited basis.  Training for competencies 1-6 and 7-11 & 13 are also available at paraeducator.com for subscribing districts.

District/Building Level Training Support

Support for district/building training where instructional paraeducators and/or the teachers with whom the work are attending training that supports district and building educational goals.

PSESD Paraeducator Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program provides educational opportunities that enhance the skills of instructional paraeducators. Scholarships are available on first come first served basis.
 

Paraeducator.com 

Paraeducator.com provides a cost-effective way to provide around-the-clock-access to high quality training, information and services for paraeducators and the teachers with whom they work. The site provides tools and information to help districts meet state and federal mandates for paraeducators.
