Mathematics & Science Regional Support Center
PSESD supports school districts in mathematics and science education through coordination of regional and state initiatives, professional development, regional collaboration facilitation, and technical support.
PSESD is engaged in a number of efforts to help increase student achievement in math including a system of Math Coordinators, the Mathematics Endorsement Academy and the Math Helping Corp.
PSESD will meet with key district staff to determine
ongong science support needs and offers customized services in professional development and coaching, instructional strategies, curriculum coordination and more.
Microsoft Math Partnership
The Microsoft Math Partnership is a mathematics educational reform project for grades 5 through 9 in eight Puget Sound area school districts. The goal is to increase student proficiency in algebraic thinking, as well as the number of students who are critical thinkers and proficient in numeracy, sequencing, problem solving, and analytical thinking. The Microsoft Math Partnership assists schools through a variety of research based strategies and specific objectives to help students meet high quality standards, rigorous graduation requirements, and be college and workplace ready.
